Curriculum and Learning
At Eastlakes Public School, Kindergarten is a year filled with curiosity, connection and foundational learning. Our program supports each child as they build confidence, develop essential skills and discover a love of school. Through a balance of explicit teaching, hands-on exploration and play-based learning, students grow across all key learning areas.
In Literacy, children learn to read, write and communicate through rich modelled, guided and independent activities. In Numeracy, they develop strong number sense, problem-solving skills and an understanding of early mathematical concepts. Students also engage in Science, Geography, Creative Arts and Personal Development, developing their knowledge of the world and their ability to express themselves.
Social and emotional learning is woven throughout our daily routines, helping children build positive relationships, resilience and independence. Our dedicated Kindergarten team nurtures each learner’s strengths and supports their individual needs, ensuring every child feels safe, valued and ready to thrive.
